Wine and the Mediterranean

Hey there wine lovers! Today we’re going to talk about where your favorite wines come from. In the states, we hear a lot about the Nappa Valley, which gives us all those great Californian wines. South of the Equator, Argentina has produced many high-quality wines and has developed a wide system of vinoculture, and New Zealand is renowned for the wonderful wines it produces. Summer Wines

As the weather gets hotter, it’s a great chance to prepare your favorite summer dishes. Anything involving corn, fresh catch, grilled meats…go for it. But what wine should be enjoyed with dishes like these? It can vary, depending on what you put out on the table. The key, though, is to find something nice and light to compliment your seasonal preparations. Just the same way it would be kind of silly to prepare a stew in July, certain wines just seem  a little out of place in the midsummer heat.  Continue reading
